  • Is there a beach at Brooms Head Holiday Park? Pictures & Reviews ...

Brooms Head is one of those places that instantly slows your heartbeat. Tucked away on the east coast of New South Wales—about 100 km south of Ballina—this quiet seaside village feels like it was made for people who want to switch off, breathe deeply, and soak in the ocean air.

We stayed at the Brooms Head Caravan Park, perched high on the hill with a sweeping, uninterrupted view of the Pacific Ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves rolling in below us was pure magic. The coastline here is dotted with walking tracks, lookout points, and neighbouring beaches with white sands and crystal‑clear water. Every direction you wander feels like a postcard.

One of the best surprises was the caravan park’s own café. It’s small, friendly, and serves what might be the best bacon and egg roll on the coast. Add a coffee and the whole combo is just $14—an absolute bargain

🎳 Bowls &, Chinese Food

Locals told us the Brooms Head Bowls Club had the best Chinese food around, and honestly, they weren’t wrong. It was cheap, delicious, and exactly the kind of hearty meal you want after a day at the beach.

We even played a game of bowls afterwards—nothing too serious, just a bit of fun. Our grandson ended up winning, which we’re still laughing about. Beginner’s luck or natural talent… we’ll let him decide.
