Location – Lake Tyers Beach Pub the heart and soul of this small community
We chose this place as it is free for water, power and laundry , ammenities and kitchen. Unbelievable but amazing.
This was a stop before we went over the border into Victoria. It sits on the border of both New South Wales’s and Victoria.
Lake Tyers is a small waterway generally closed to the bass straight although prevailing winds and storms can open the waterway up. Other than that it is a small lake where you can fish and swim. If you choose to go further the beaches are long white sand and with the prevailing winds from the south is quite rough to swim in. This little town depends on the local pub where we stayed. You can park up behind the pub for 24 hours for free . They supply water to your van, power, laundry facilities and ammenities no questions asked amazing place. The night we stayed there we wanted to go for a pub meal but they closed due to the storms that had just hit that evening. We managed to get in a few drinks to pay for our stay.
If your’e a fisherman and like to fish in the comfy of the estuary you can expect to catch bream ,perch, tailor and small salmon.
The closest Supermarkets and outlets ( Booze Shops ) is located 5 min drive down the road to Lake Entrance where you will find everything you need.
