Free Camping right on the water. First in wins a camping spot. You can camp here for up to 24hours for free. There is a public toilet and bbq area. Town is a 2 minute walk.

• Yarrawarra Aboriginal Culture Centre
• Surfing/Fishing

Macksville is the first stop for the start of our 4 month journey back on the road as Senior Citizens.

We left Rous near Ballina and drove for 4.5 hours until we came to this tiny town on the river which we have driven through on one of other adventures around Australia. This was a stop over not a tourist destination for us but it is a very pretty town located on the Nambucca River.

What is this place famous for ….it holds the oldest professional foot race in 120m its the place to be if you are that way inclined . Small community but has everything you need.
