If your feeling is it is not safe don’t do it🐊.We arrived at this beautiful paradise Mission Beach and whilst the beaches were pristine and the water is beautiful and clear there are too many reasons to not go in the water. One being Crocs and the other stingers which is another name for Jelly Fish but your reaction to these sea animals stings can leave you unwell .

Besides all of this which is called nature we had a great time here at Mission Beach. Our camping ground was located just across from the beach ⛱️ We took advantage of this and walked the dogs daily on these magnificent beaches.

Mission Beach is a popular tourist destination and one of the unique and picturesque sections along the North Queensland coastline. There is so much to do

You can visit Dunk Island which have 9 camping sites on the Island. This is accessible by water taxi. They also have showers, toilets and bbq’s too so you will only need food and your favourite wine 🍷of course. You can also take day cruises out to the Great Barrier Reef they offer so many different packages to suit all.

Mission Beach is also close to Tully Gorge which is located 70kms if you are in to a scenic drive. The gorge offers spectacular mountain views and rain forest. There is also Murray Falls State Forest which is good for swimming and you can also camp there.

If you just want to take advantage of their beaches there are so many beaches in close proximity of each other. We visited Garners beach which was at the Northern end of Mission Beach it was quiet and secluded you felt like you were on your own private island.

There are so many restaurants here also and it is good too see business is back in full swing here. All the restaurants were full here we wanted to get some fish n chips 🍟 but the wait time was 40 mins too long when you have a baby in tow.

This is yet another slice of paradise on the East coast of Northern Queensland we enjoyed our 3 days here.

It is very humid up here so drinking lots of fluid is a must.
