Mildura .. we stayed we conquered and we left. Mildura is a very unique town set on the Murray River. Our camping ground Apex was set just back from the River and reminded us of travelling into a Camp America scene.
There is so much to do here. We arrived at lunchtime it was 36deg so after setting up we were fortunate to turn the aircon on. Lucky for us to have this option as the heat is unbearable π«
Once the temperature got down to under 30 we ventured out to the little beach just in front of the camp. There were so many people out enjoying cheese platters, wine π· and having fun in the sun.
We spent our days socialising with camp friends visiting little quaint places to fill our day up. We got a chance to walk over Tuckers Creek our dogs π name fondly called boy. Aka Tucker.
The camping ground is set in a really great place 3kms out of town and our camp site was perfect on a grassed area. We did weather a dust storm during our stay which was quite surreal π³ and amazing. Our last night here we went out on the paddle steamer on the Murray River. As this company only has 2 weekly dinner cruises it was packed. The cost for the cruise was $75 pp for 4 hours. The meal was roast meats ,veggies and of course a choice of puddings. I probably would have chosen the lunch cruise as it was hard to see anything. The cruise was lovely and we shared a table with some other travellers so we could share our stories on our boat voyage. This was a great way to end our stay in the lovely river town of Mildura.
