Kimba is a small town tucked away Half way across Australia. We arrived mid morning into Kimba to see the big beautiful Pink Galah. This was right next to the Kimba bakery so it was hard not to get some refreshments from this good looking inviting place. We shared a mince pie and sausage roll both very delicious. Great tasty pastry and meat. Cost $13 but well worth it. Then off to the famous Kimba Silo we went which is a very popular destination in this town. The silo Art was completed in September 2017 and took 26 days and 200 litres of paint. The silo here in kimba is on Viterra Silos and brings so much interest and money into the small community which is great.
We chose Kimba as part of our travel as it is famous for being half way across the great land of Oz . After exploring this wonderful town we parked up at the recreational camp just out of town and for a small donation it has absolutely everything besides an office to checkin. First in best dressed. This camp offers showers, toilets, kitchen, and amazing travel stories from the mass of campers that stay in this little gem over night.
You can stay up to 5 nights or go to the council for extension of a 2 week stay.
Highly recommend this place for a short stop .
