Darls and the boys ended up at Port Macdonnell which is located 27kms South of Mt Gambier on the coast. Our other free camping site in Portland sprung a leak so to speak so all the campers were evacuated. And as the saying goes things happen for a reason. Our camp for the night was high up on the cliffs. We were kept company with the Cape Northumberland light house across the road from us. It was very windy up there i thought at some stage TAJ would end up in the Southern Ocean. We were the only ones brave enough to stay there. We stayed one night and moved on the next morning as the tourist were starting to arrive and having the caravan take up most of the spots we did get some looks. Port Macdonnell is famous for its lobsters so on the way out of town i could not resist going to buy one for lunch. The lobster had lots of meat on it and for the price $$$$ was well worth it. They have a few fish 🐠 and chips places so being a fishing coastal town they would be fresh and tasty.

Being so close to Mt Gambier they have a lot of visitors to this small town. I would highly recommend a visit if your in the area.

Was well worth getting up early to capture this Sunrise at the Southern Tip of Australia
