Scotts head camping ground is a gorgeous place to stay is you are a beach bunny. You are surrounded by beaches and amazing surf so be sure to pack your surf or paddle board. The camp has shops just across the road with bakery, friendly grocer and of course the good old bottle O which i frequently visited as it was too hot….well thats what i say. The closest town to Scotts Head is Macksville so if you want to spend more time at the beach be sure to pack up enough supplies before you stay. We took the bikes out for a quick ride to ensure we get the mileage up in 35 deg heat and all hills its not for the faint hearted be sure to slip slop slap i came back looking like a lobster after an hour on the bike. We really enjoyed our stay but we had a Kelly Slater want to be across from us that had an outer voice and wanted to keep everyone updated about the surf conditions. There is always one .
