The next adventure was onto TressaVale Farm in Upper Glastonbury Gympie. This was an adventure of a different kind. Paulie, myself and the 2 boys stayed out on a family farm in Tressa Vale. The arrangement was to assist with jobs around the property for free accommodation and food. There are plenty of places around Australia that would happily have you stay in exchange for assistance on the property with jobs. The best place to find this type of stay is Working Away. There is a small cost to create a profile but it is well worth it.

Our work consisted of gardening, helping with the working dogs and paving. The farm had cattle and grass seed to export overseas. The property is a 30 minute drive from Gympie in Queensland. There was a small cottage attached to the main house with plenty of space for us as a couple to stay. The 2 boys slept out in the caravan which was also connected to power.

We loved spending time with the family and it was a bonus sitting around at meal times and sharing our adventures as well as learning about their life on the farm. Their son Sam aka BEAR was a real cutie at 13 he had his own little farm Diahatsu called Hattie. He is the real deal farm boy.
