LOCATION: Dorrigo, NSW 2453

Arrived in Dorrigo hoping to stay at the Showgrounds but quickly realised there was no power sites available with water that we desperately needed. So quick assessment and we were off to Dorrigo Mountain Camping ground for 3 nights. It was Serial misty and foggy on top of the mountain – “Where’s the sun?” I kept on saying.

We visited the Dorrigo National Park (Rain Forest) which was just down the road from the camp.  The national park is 10 minutes drive from central Dorrigo. There are so many walks for free and you can see some amazing water falls. Dorrigo is 700m high but seems to have so many flowing waterfalls everywhere. 

We went to the main bakery and had meat pies and a fresh cream roll all very delicious. If you have time to spend and money and like op shops or just shops this is the place to come.  The town embraces in the 1945s era and is so good for tourist and the economy of Bellingen .Very busy place but has a relaxing presence. The real estate is quite expensive 6acrs will set you back $ 4m.
